Led by Kim Cermak, these gatherings will create a space or pause, to come together, meditate and simply be in community with other fellow yogis who are interested in bringing more stillness into their lives. Designed to support attitudes of gratitude, kindness, compassion and forgiveness the gatherings help create a more highly tuned level of presence which impacts all interactions and sense of well-being. The practice of mindfulness - attention and awareness - is a practice, just like yoga. The more we do it, the better we get at it!
Kim has been a mindfulness and meditation student for over 20 years and recently attended a 10-day silent meditation retreat in Sarasota, FL. She is a cross-cultural consultant/trainer and coach and regularly incorporates mindfulness techniques when working with clients. Mindfulness training helps leaders cultivate a calm and focused way of being, which are the two qualities of states of mind of peak performance for high achievers. Regular practice of mindfulness allows the practitioner to step back from the automatic or habitual "reactions" and instead make choices to respond to situations with appropriate "actions' that align with reaching their goals.
